For students with no prior experience in the industry, we recommend beginning your journey at our Foundation courses. The courses are suitable for those with no experience at all, as it is designed to begin from a beginners perspective.

If you are ultimately up to the challenge - we would always encourage you to take our Foundation & Intermediate Combo to take your skills a  step further. There's a discount for those that sign up for a combo package! Wink.

WHAT ARE THE DURATION OF COURSES?

Foundation - 1 Day (10am to 6pm)

Intermediate - 3 Days (10am to 6pm)

Do not fret on the duration of courses. We understand that students are afraid that 3 days of training will not be sufficient.

We allow students to come back to our academy for practice sessions on specifically set dates after you have completed your training.

ARE THERE PRACTICE SESSIONS AFTER THE COURSE?

After you have completed your training, the practice sessions will be available according to the availability of the academy.

There should be around 4 - 5 days of practice dates opened for students. However, these slots are on first come first serve basis.

WHAT ARE THE TRAINING MATERIALS PROVIDED?

The training materials are fully provided during all courses.

However, the materials during practice sessions are not included. Students will have to bring their own ingredients such as roasted coffee / milk / green coffee and others.

The examinations are usually held at the end of the course date. However, if you are not ready to take the exams, please feel free to speak to our trainers. It will not be a problem to reschedule your examination to another date.

We will have one specific date once every two months opened for those who has completed their courses with us to conduct examinations. Best part is? The examinations are optional for all students, so if you feel like you are not ready, do not worry and come back when you are.

The academy occasionally collaborates with international coffee professionals and have worked with the likes of

WIll THE COURSE BE SUFFICIENT FOR A NEW CAFE OWNER?

The courses will not be sufficient but is highly recommended as a foundation builder. This is also dependent on the needs and requirements of your cafe. SCA courses such as Barista Skills will be a good start to general cafe knowledge as the course covers operational topics such as workspace management, financial management and hygiene.

All other SCA courses are usually suitable for those who wish to elevate their coffee knowledge by learning other aspects of coffee such as Sensory Skills, Brewing, Green Coffee and Roasting.
